Project

The Cannes Pays de Lerins Urban Community (CPDL) has undertaken studies since 2014 to assess the opportunities to reuse treated wastewater from the Aquaviva WWTP (membrane UF - 16 Mm3 / year discharged into the sea).

Faced with strong quantitative and quantitative pressures on the water resources of the lower Siagne valley, the TWWs have proven to be a major resource for the future: many different uses (urban, agricultural, golf, recharging natural environments, etc.) could develop this water and thus allow (1) savings on natural and conventional resources and (2) the territory to enter fully into the circular economy of water.

Ecofilae’s actions

Ecofilae has put its expertise at the service of the CPDL and the SIAUBC by studying the potential for developing loops for the reuse of treated wastewater in the territory. By studying the main consumption items in the territory, Ecofilae has deployed its innovative methodologies to assess the potential for developing wastewater for each of its positions.

The process, carried out in 2 distinct phases, resulted in proposals for the valuation of unconventional quantified and analyzed waters (ACB):

  • REUSE diagnosis of the urban area;
  • Technical and economic evaluation of the potential for circular economy of water selected.
