Project

A reuse demonstrator is a small-scale experimental and educational field platform to assess the feasibility of a project to re-use treated wastewater. Connected to a non-conventional water production system, it allows:

  • to test the impacts of reuse on the water-soil-plant-environment system on a small scale,
  • to scientifically certify solutions,
  • to make these solutions accepted on the territory before spreading it on a larger scale,
  • to develop working and monitoring methods.

Ecofilae’s actions

Ecofilae innovates and carries out a pre-feasibility study for the development of an "all-in-one" Reuse demonstrator pilot for professionals. Protocols for monitoring agronomic and environmental impacts have been developed and tested in the laboratory. A first mini pilot site is being set up in Montpellier: it will test the equipment and methods of data acquisition.
