Éa eco-enterprises, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur delegation from the Aqua-Valley Cluster, and the Capenergies competitiveness cluster organized on Tuesday November 20, 2018, the 1st regional conference dedicated to the challenges of water and in the South Region.

The Water-Energy segment is identified as a strong development axis for the regional excellence sector of "Energies of tomorrow" in the South Region. The innovation around the Water-Energy nexus is expressed today mainly through the optimization of the management of water and energy deposits in the water cycle. Reminded at this event, there are many environmental, industrial, political and technological challenges to be met, constituting real opportunities for innovation and growth for the regional fabric.

Ecofilae’s actions

During this conference, Nicolas Condom made a presentation on the theme "Industrial waters: sources of value, innovation and competitiveness".

4.5 billion m3 of water used each year and 10% of the water withdrawn in France is used for the industrial sector

The objectives are therefore to:

  • Secure effluent management,
  • Reduce its water footprint,
  • Release a new resource for agricultural uses,
  • Preserve water resources for noble uses,
  • Create real economic opportunities in the regions,
  • Strengthen its competitive advantage.
