Project

The GIP AGROLANDES commissioned ECOFILAE in order to (i) identify the challenges for water resources at the Landes scale, (ii) assess the deposits of purified water produced by the various subscribers to the GIP, and (iii) characterize possible (re) uses at target sites.

The sectors concerned include:

  • Agriculture (corn and others);
  • Wine-making activities;
  • Processing and preserving vegetables;
  • Poultry farming (ducks, hens, etc.) and processing;
  • The development of animal by-products (feathers, organ meats, etc.);
  • Fish farming and fish processing;
  • Forestry, including sawing and planing activities;
  • The pulp & stationery industry;
  • Bio-refining and associated industries;
  • Methanization.

Ecofilae’s actions

  • Identification and mapping of the main challenges of the territory;
  • Characterization of the sectors (management of water resources and discharges);
  • Bibliographic review of good Water Circular Economy (WCE) practices for each sector;
  • Definition of a WCE strategy at the sector level;
  • Feasibility assessment on a selection of target sites.
  • Capacity building of actors and dissemination;
